Drains are (sealable) openings in the floor of reefer containers for the drainage of condensation. In regulating the size of the opening of the drains, the air humidity of the reefer can be controlled, ensuring that perishable goods can be properly conditioned during transport. The drains in a reefer are also referred to as vents.
