The Importance of Accurate Declaration of Hazardous (IMO) Cargo

Incorrect information about hazardous materials can lead to life-threatening situations due to explosions and fires. Therefore, it is crucial to declare hazardous cargo accurately.

Shipping companies impose very high fines for misdeclaration of hazardous materials, which can reach up to USD 30,000 per container.

For bookings of hazardous goods, as well as for (non-hazardous) batteries, we require a complete Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD). Without these documents, the shipping company will not accept the booking.
