New Trade Agreement Between the EU and Chile

As of February 1, 2025, a new trade agreement between the EU and Chile has come into effect. This brings significant changes for businesses trading with Chile, particularly in the area of proof of origin. EUR.1 certificates and invoice declarations are no longer valid. Companies must now demonstrate origin using a certificate of origin or through Importer’s Knowledge. To assist companies during this transition, the European Commission has issued a guidance document. This document, available through CLECAT, provides practical guidelines for meeting the new requirements. Would you like the link to this document? Get in touch with us!
